MAY 2022: Council seeks one Member for co-option. Closing date at the end of June.

 

MAY 2022: Chairman for 2022-23 to be Cllr. Richard Harris and Vice-Chairman, Cllr. Jenny Hodge.

 

MAY 2021: Chairman for 2021-22 to be Cllr. Richard Harris and Vice-Chairman, Cllr. Jenny Hodge.

 

MAY 2020: Chairman for 2020-21 to be Cllr. Richard Harris and Vice-Chairman, Cllr. Jenny Hodge.

 

MAY 2019: Chairman for 2019-20 to be Cllr. Richard Harris and Vice-Chairman, Cllr. Jenny Hodge.

MARCH 2018: The Community Council is delighted to announce that is has recently received two Awards at the annual One Voice Wales Awards Conference. The website received first place, ahead of runners up Cwmbran Community Council. The website also received a Highly Commended Runners up Award in the tourism category.

 

NOVEMBER 2017: The Community Council will begin considering its budget for 2018-19 in December with the final figures agreed in January. If you have a project that needs our support or if you have a suggestion for something the Council could do in 2018-19 please get in touch by the end of December.

 

OCTOBER 2017: Community Council input into Local Development Plan. This plan will shape our area into the future. Please look and make your own comments if you can -

AUGUST 2017: Clerk delighted to judge the fancy dress entrants at the Carnival. A very successful day was had by all with may events on the school field.

 

JULY 2017: Thanks to all those who helped at the recent War Memorial Cleaning Morning and to the New Radnor Carnival Committee for providing an excellent lunch.

 

APRIL 2017: Following the close of nominations the following persons stand nominated for the Community Council -

Mavis Cooper.

The above will all be elected unopposed and the Community Council will need to co-opt one further person to fill the remaining place. Please contact the Clerk at newradnorcc@outlook.com or 01547 528575 if you are interested. Or you can speak to any Councillor.

 County Council: Cllr. Michael Jones was unopposed and so will be re-elected.

 

JANUARY 2017: Council budget set for 2017-18 at £7033, costing £30.86 per Band D property. New items included £250 towards a village Christmas tree and lights/decorations, £95 for an additional dog bag dispenser, £100 towards pre school/play provision in the village and £350 towards the training of Councillors. £100 was allocated to miscellaneous donations during the year. An amount of £760 was provided to add  to the election reserve as main Council elections would take place in May. Two changes were made to the ongoing items - the amount for the Royal British Legion was increased from £20 to £25 (in future a wreath would be obtained to place on the War Memorial) and the amount of donation to the East Radnorshire Day Centre was increased by £50 to £250. 

NOVEMBER 2016: DEFIBRILLATOR TRAINING SESSION. First training session held in the Community Centre with 35 attendees. Training was led by Ken and Jo Williams from High Street. A massive thanks to them for taking the time to be there.

 

MAY 2016: NEW CHAIRMAN AND VICE CHAIRMAN FOR COMMUNITY COUNCIL. At the Annual Meeting held on 12th May Cllr. Richard Harris was appointed Chairman with Cllr. Jenny Hodge Vice-Chairman.
